Update

Since our update on April 30 about the water proposal, we have been waiting for Coal Valley to get back to us with details. On August 2 we received an email stating that we should have estimates “by the middle of the month..” On September 6 we sent an email inquiring about the estimates. On September 20 we received the following email from Coal Valley: “This will be discussed in October during our 2024 budget meetings. Sorry for the delay but this is a huge investment for the Village that needs careful consideration. Without grant funding to pay for the transmission watermain up naibi zoo road to interconnect the system with well #4 the project will be difficult to fund alone unfortunately for the village.” We will keep you informed as we receive information from Coal Valley.
